jokers-asylum-two-face-cover For The Love of Reviews - Jokers Asylum Two-FaceAfter all the hype leading up to the Joker’s Asylum miniseries, I’ve been underwhelmed. Every issue has been utterly forgettable. Every one except for the last.

In Joker’s Asylum: Two-Face, David Hine has written maybe the best Two-Face story I’ve ever read, taking the “in the right situation, you could be me” premise that seemed to be the sole premise of the Joker and applying it to Two-Face and a young firefighter scarred in an inferno but otherwise happy and well-adjusted.

I’m afraid I can’t get too detailed without ruining the plot, but this story (possibly coupled with recently viewing The Dark Knight) really left me with a deep feeling of who Two-Face is and what makes him tick and the “flip a coin” finale may have been the perfect ending for a story featuring Two-Face.
