That’s right…Mamma Mia! It was great. Based on music by ABBA? More like God!
Okay, okay, so I saw The Dark Knight, but only because Mamma Mia was sold out like months in advance. Anyway, Dark Knight was beyond incredible. I’m sure Crackuh will post a more detailed posted about how amazing it was, but I figured I would just get that out there. I don’t want to really go in to anything, since the flick has only been out fourteen hours, but I’m sure after the Comic Roundtable this weekend, we’ll put the high and low (and even those weren’t anything to scoff at) points of the movie.
Hi everybody! So, I’ve been doing a lot lately and haven’t had the chance to blog much, even though Cracker was awesome enough to give me my own log in information and everything. Summer’s just days away though, and so I should be posting a lot more.
This blog does have a purpose though. Our good pal Andrew (aka MidKnight, aka the slimy bastard who snaked the Tournament Of Champions victory out from under me) and I are both aspiring writers, looking to break in to the field of comics. It’s kind of like the Field of Dreams, except with less Ray Liotta. Anyway, Andrew is plotting his first story out, and I’m currently in the stages of writing mine. Unfortunately, neither of us have any artistic ability beyond the written word. So that’s where all you loyal readers come in.
If you’re interested in being the artist on a comic series (or two, if the workload isn’t to much for you) that will likely be released online, then hit me and/or Andrew up for details on the series. Unfortunately, there isn’t any money in the gig (unless the series is discovered online and someone offers to publish it…we can dream, right?) but you’ll get some exposure. Contacting us with a sample of your work will definitely help, but we’re willing to talk to anybody really. So if you want, contact me via email (blamethecity@hotmail.com) or AIM (LivexInxDecline), and contact Andrew at (facelessesoteric@hotmail.com) or on AIM (facelessesoteric).
Hi, I’m AJ, and I’m here to run this blog in to the ground! After much pestering, the very respectable proprietor has convinced me to come post here every now and then. So I decided I’d keep my introduction simple, and just tell everybody that, but I always figured I’d share something with you.
As you’ll probably come to realize, my life pretty much revolves around the acronym NSFW. So, for my first trick, here is the first teaser for the new Kevin Smith flick “Zack and Miri Make A Porno”. If you haven’t seen it, and love the word “dick”, then you’ll likely get a kick out of this.
Now, accept me in to the blogging world with open arms…and legs.
For The Love of Comics contains discussions about the world in and around comic book culture. We focus mainly on comic books, but occasionally branch out into movies, games, television, books, and general pop culture.
