Justin Hammer and Crimson Dynamo Villains in Iron Man 2

I’m reading rumors across the ‘net that Marvel Studios is in talks with Mickey Rourke to play the Crimson Dynamo and Sam Rockwell to play Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2. Most of the people I’m hearing from are citing The Hollywood Reporter and Variety as sources.
While the casting is still in the talks stage and thus not a sure thing, the choice of villains – if this is true – is an interesting one by screenwriter Justin Theroux.
Crimson Dynamo’s armor was inspired by the invention of the Iron Man armor, though it was not quite as advanced and the nuclear reactor wasn’t as stable, if I remember correctly.
Justin Hammer is basically an evil Tony Stark, building weapons and financing supervillain organizations along the same lines that Tony equipped and financed the Avengers. Hammer was also responsible for the first Armor Wars when he stole and distributed Stark Technology to various armored supervillains. The effects of this were felt as recently as the beginning of Matt Fraction’s run on Iron Man

I’ve heard versions that have Hammer European and give the goods on Stark’s Mk1 Armor that Stane had to the Russians to build the Dynamo all the way out to Stane having already sold the tech to Hammer to finance the Iron Monger, and it ends up a cross between the Dynamo storyline and the Firepower thing at the end of the first Armor Wars, moving Stark out to another, more powerful armor in time for the Avengers movies to come out.
Personally, I’d love to see Spymaster pop up in it all, as thats how Hammer got the goods anyway. I’m going to have to have some faith in Favs since we managed to pull it all off in the first one. I’m actually more concerned about Don Cheadle being Rhodey now. WTF was the thought process there?

It’s a needless move to me, but I think Cheadle will be able to pull it off, even though I always pictured Rhodey as being bigger and more badass than Terrence Howard or Don Cheadle.
