Wowio Merges With Platinum, Now Late on Payments

Many readers will remember creators’ issues with Platinum Studios and their late payments, culminating in DJ Coffman no longer working on Hero By Night, the flagship title for Platinum that Coffman, arguably their biggest cheerleader and asset up to that point, had written since winning their first “Comic Book Challenge”.
Well, Platinum Studios bought online pdf retailer Wowio and guess what?
Wowio is late on Q2 payments to their publishers. Way to improve your image, guys.

Yes, I contacted Wowio via their web site, and have not heard back from them yet.

I just contacted them as well, but I really don’t expect to get a comment from them any time soon. I seem to recall Platinum taking forever to comment during their whole fiasco with DJ Coffman and such.
