The Boys (comic book)

The title really says it all. Columbia Pictures is planning on adapting my favorite current ongoing, The Boys, into a movie produced by Neal Moritz’s “Original Film”.

To add context to this announcement, one should remember that HBO has been planning on making a series out of Preacher for years and it still hasn’t happened. In light of this and the incredibly long time that it took to make Watchmen - which possibly won’t even be released - and a decent Batman movie, I won’t get too excited until they actually start filming, but this is still pretty cool news even though they’ll almost certainly have to seriously water down the content for general consumption.

You can read Variety’s full write up with all the corporate babble right here.

Oh boy, the amount of people I would headbutt if Watchmen wasn’t released…

You and me both. Hopefully they’ll work something out.
