Just be warned that it’s very much an Ennis book, and his stated goal is to “out-Preacher Preacher”. The language, violence, and general content is very over the top.
Hah, you’re right! I checked it out on wikipedia after you told me (damn do I love that site) and realized I had the first few issues.
From what I read, I guess it was canceled after #6 originally? Which is why I must’ve forgotten about it.
Yeah, DC/Wildstorm felt like it was a bit too hot for them to handle, but did everything they could to enable Ennis and Robertson to move the series to another publisher, and then Dynamite picked them up.
