Ok, first things first - you’re going to want to sit down for this.
Are you sitting? Good.
Here we go, then.
Frank Cho has…. actually finished penciling Mighty Avengers #6.
I know, I didn’t believe it, either.
At this rate, if New Avengers does nothing but fill in issues, Mighty will catch up with New sometime in… 2009!
Awesome.

While I admit that Cho’s art is damn purty, I don’t pay nearly as much attention to the art as most people. I generally only REALLY notice the art when it’s particularly bad or when it detracts from the story. If the art is good, I generally don’t notice it very much other than a momentary “yeah, that’s pretty”, which isn’t very fair to the artists.
I hereby apologize to artists in general and Frank Cho in particular for not appreciating their work in the way it deserves, but I honestly won’t miss Cho much if it means the comics come out on time.
Yeah, I’m at that point too. I’m willing to see his artwork go if it means that Mighty Avengers might actually be released on time.

He’s actually done with Mighty Avengers after #6. He couldn’t keep up with the title because there was too much art to do.
It’s a shame though since I really enjoyed his work on the title. His replacement’s (Can’t remember the name) artwork is fairly similar though so it won’t be too much of a change.
