Some Things About The Writer’s Strike That Make Me Giggle

Next, a quote from a recent LA Times article regarding the WGA picketing on Wall Street:

“Besides, said alliance spokeswoman Barbara Brogliatti, the anticipated $1 billion a year for video downloading by 2011 still will be dwarfed by projected sales of as much as $20.7 billion worth of ‘old-fashioned’ DVDs, so online nirvana isn’t dawning as fast as the writers contend.”

For the record, the 2.5% of that billion that the studios are trying to screw the writers out of? Twenty-five MILLION dollars.

Pocket change, really.
