These are the highlights of what caught my interest while browsing through my favorite news sites, before I crash for the night:

IESB.net is having a sweepstakes for two very nice prize packs from the new Hellboy movie. Entry is very simple - just give them your name, snail mail address, and email address and you’re in!

Again from IESB.net, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has finally made up his mind and will be playing Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam movie. It’s the right decision, he’ll be a much better Black Adam than Captain Marvel, but it does make me wonder who the heck will they get to play a convincing Captain Marvel against his Black Adam? I’ll definitely be following this one.

Variety reports that NBC has put a hold on the six episode Heroes:Origins until a later date, almost certainly after the WGA work stoppage, which sucks. I was really looking forward to some backstory.

IGN Comics has put together a breakdown of everything you need to know going into Marvel’s Messiah CompleX crossover, which is very handy for those of us who have totally written off X-Men for the past decade or so.
